MIDLAND - Houston-based Satterfield & Pontikes Construction is planning as many as five new 100,000-sf office buildings, to be called Energy Plaza at Westridge Park, according to Alan Feinsilver, director of development.

The project is estimated to cost around $150 million and will be comprised of energy-efficient four-story buildings. The buildings, expected to be available by mid-2014, will be constructed west of the Scharbauer Sports Complex and adjacent to where Chevron will build its new campus.

Energy Plaza at Westridge Park will occupy 20 acres of the 100-plus master-planned Westridge Park development, according to Bill Scott with Real Estate One Midland.

Currently office space is 98 to 99 percent occupied, according Scott. New buildings are under construction — for Fasken Oil and Ranch and EOG Resources — or planned — for Pioneer Natural Resources and Chevron. Concho Resources refurbished the former Hightower Building for its own use.
