LUBBOCK – Lubbock’s sales tax check this month will be more than $4.74 million, a 20.25 percent increase from December 2011’s $3.94 million payout, according to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts office.

The state’s total sales tax revenue for November 2012 was $2.34 billion, a 13.1 percent increase from November 2011.

For the year, Lubbock has received more than $55.9 million, up 8.25 percent from the $51.6 million taken in last year.
