Hilton Houston Westchase sold to Wheelock

HOUSTON – Wheelock Street Capital LLC acquired the 12-story Hilton Houston Westchase hotel, located at 9999 Westheimer Rd., from an affiliate of Interstate Hotels & Resorts.

In February 2007, the Capstar Westchase Partners LP sold the asset to Interstate Hotels for $50.5 million or $170,034 per key.

The hotel opened in 1980 and has 297 guestrooms, 11,200 sf of meeting space and a Rio Ranch restaurant. The purchase was Wheelock Street Capital’s sixth full-service hotel acquisition in 2012 and its second in the Houston market.

Wheelock Street Capital, through its proprietary hotel platform, currently owns 22 hotels with about 4,580 rooms.
