DALLAS - Mill Creek Residential Trust is teaming up with the largest property owner in Dallas’ Knox Street district to build a six-story rental community, which will consist of 208 units. The first units will be delivered first quarter 2014, according to Darren Schackman with Mill Creek.
The apartment project will be on North Central Expy. at Hester St. and will replace The Courtyards at Knox Park buildings.
The apartment development with Mill Creek was financed with a $21.53 million loan from JPMorgan Chase Bank, county records show.
The development site is just a block north of Knox Street. Sarofim Realty owns several blocks of retail buildings along Knox and is working on a larger mixed-use development in the same area.
The North Central Expressway building will be Mill Creek’s second high-profile apartment project in central Dallas.
The developer is building a six-story, 378-unit rental project in the Victory Park complex just north of downtown. The rental community is being built in a partnership with the Behringer Harvard investment firm.
