MIDLAND – The University of Texas of the Permian Basin has plans to build an 80,000-sf School of Engineering Building at the Midland campus next to the next to the CEED and the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center, southeast of the intersection of FM 1788 and SH 191.

The building will help accommodate the growth of UTPB’s fastest growing department. Total project cost, according to the UTPB President David Watts is $69 million.

The Texas House passed House Bill 100, which included $48 million in tuition revenue bonds for UTPB, which will be use in funding for the new project.
