Raiders tackle stadium expansion

LUBBOCK – The drawing phase is underway on the $5 million expansion of the north end zone colonnade to Jones AT&T Stadium, which will be completed by August 2013.

The expansion will create approximately 368 seats and add an observation deck with an occupancy load of about 40 seats, according to Michael Molina with Texas Tech University.

Another project underway is the $11 million video scoreboard, which will be about 5.3 times larger than the existing scoreboard and will create a superstructure that will span from the east to the west side of the existing ticket office.
