KILLEEN-FORT HOOD – Home sales were up 311 units in 2012 over 2011, a 13 percent increase. The largest increase in sales was seen in the $140,000 to $200,000 range.

The largest increase in financing methods was in VA loans, which signifies that military personnel returning from deployments have chosen to put down roots and stay in the Killeen-Fort Hood area for the future, according to Mary Ann Daniell of Coldwell Banker United, Realtors.

List VS Sell Ratio stood steady at 98 percent for 2012, the same as in 2011. Average Sales Price for 2011 was $131,206 compared to $140,615 in 2012, an increase in average sales price of 7 percent.
