Hillwood readies to meet frenzied home building demand

NORTH TEXAS – Hillwood Communities has been positioning itself during the downturn to be ready for projected growth.

During 2012, the residential developer acquired more than 1,000 acres, completed 500 lots and began development of 600 additional lots.

Seven of Hillwood Communities’ North Texas land buys include: 

• Fate: 62 acres in the Woodcreek community for 228 lots;
• Lucas: 136 acres for 206 half-acre lots; and
• Northlake: five parcels totaling 675 acres for 1,743 proposed lots.
   

Hillwood Communities recently began developing a $1 billion, 1,000-acre master-planned community in Northlake and Argyle. The community will have 3,000 single-family homes.
