GEORGETOWN - Two psychiatric hospitals coming to Georgetown will add about $35 million to the city’s tax roll and 450 jobs.
The first hospital, located on Southeast Inner Loop Dr., has already broken ground and is expected to open sometime in late 2013. The 51,000-sf hospital will have 72 beds and a wing dedicated to geriatric patients. The hospital is being built by Springstone and has costs estimated at $10.8 million, according to state filings.
The second psychiatric hospital will total 74,000 sf and have 100 beds. Signature Healthcare will build the facility at 3101 S. Austin Ave.
