HOUSTON - Alamo Drafthouse will open on Valentine's Day in the Vintage Park Shopping Center, located off Tomball Pkwy. and Louetta Rd.
The 24,000-sf facility will become one of the first in the country equipped with state-of-the-art Sony 4k digital screens in seven screens, two of which will also have the ability to show 35mm print films. Construction costs for the interior buildout were estimated at $3 million, according to state filings.
The new theater at 114 Vintage Park Blvd. is the second in the Houston area after the Mason Park location in Katy at 531 S. Mason Rd. The company will open another theater in mid-town later in 2013, replacing the West Oaks Mall location which closed last year.
