SAN ANTONIO – Gold’s Gym International is feeding the need for fitness with plans announced for two new gyms in the Alamo City.

With construction already underway, a new 54,000-sf gym will be located at the Legacy Trails shopping center at the northeast corner of Potranco Rd. and SH 151. The center has an estimated cost of $6.3 million, according to state filings.

The Legacy Trails gym will feature more than 15,000 sf of outdoor space — including a basketball court, lap pool and wellness pool. The gym is expected to open for business later this summer.

Gold’s Gym will also start construction on the 49,000-sf fitness center that will be located at the southeast corner Loop 1604 and Culebra. The center is expected to be complete in a year. The Culebra facility will feature a premium outdoor space, including a 5,500-sf swimming pool.
