SAN ANTONIO - On the investment side of the local apartment market, 2012 shaped up to be a good year. The final sales tally for 2012, compiled by Austin Investor Interests, showed 77 apartment complex sales were completed — which translates into close to $1 billion worth of apartment assets changing hands.
By early October, more than 50 apartment properties had already changed owners. The average price per unit for those 77 deals was $62,155 — the highest average for a single year in the local apartment sector.
