COPPELL, HASLET, SCHERTZ - Amazon has confirmed plans to open three new fulfillment centers in Texas, creating more than 1,000 jobs.

The 1.2 million-sf site in Schertz and the 1 million-sf site in Coppell will handle larger items, while the 1.1 million-sf site in Haslet — part of the AllianceTexas community — will handle smaller items like books, small electronics or DVDs.

Amazon fulfillment center jobs pay on average 30 percent more than traditional retail jobs and offers full-time benefits including healthcare.
