Hyatt Regency Austin adds more parking, ballroom

AUSTIN – An $11 million construction project is now underway at the Hyatt Regency Austin hotel located at 208 Barton Springs Rd. near downtown. The project, expected to be complete this fall, will add a parking garage and ballroom.

The ballroom will be two stories. The eight-story parking garage will have about 800 spaces. Plans show a second-floor walkway connecting the ballroom to the hotel.

Other hotel renovation projects underway in the city include Inter-Continental Stephen F. Austin Hotel, at 701 Congress Ave., and the Renaissance Austin Hotel, at 9721 Arboretum Blvd.
