WACO – Home sales in Waco rose during fourth quarter 2012. The Texas Association of Realtors released a report that shows 519 new and existing homes were sold in the Waco MSA, which includes all McLennan County, during 4Q 2012. That’s a 22.9 percent increase from 4Q 2011 when 422 units changed hands.

The average price of a home sold during 4Q 2012 was $138,271, up 6 percent from the previous year. The median price for a home sold during 4Q 2012 was $127,800, up from $117,000 during 4Q 2011.

The Waco MSA’s inventory of homes has slipped from 9.4 months in 4Q 2011 to 7.9 months in 4Q 2012.
