SAN ANTONIO - Rackspace Hosting and Alamo Colleges are teaming up on a $2.5 million skills development fund grant to train 1,000 new and current workers in San Antonio, Austin and Dallas.

Workers will receive training on cloud-based technologies. Technicians, Linux administrators and software developers will receive the training. Once the training is completed, new hires will earn an average hourly wage of $25.38.

The Texas Workforce Commission awarded the job-skills training grant.
