Doctor-owned hospital on call in Edwards Ranch

FORT WORTH – Construction has started on the 150,000-sf hospital near Bryant Irvin Rd. in the Edwards Ranch development. The $140 million, three-story hospital will have 48 private inpatient beds including VIP suites for relatives.

The southwest Fort Worth hospital will include six intensive care beds, 12 operating suites, two special-procedure rooms and an emergency room.

The physician-owned hospital, scheduled to open in mid-2014, will employ workers for about 300 full-time equivalent positions. Forest Park Medical Center is building the project.
