PLAINVIEW, HALE COUNTY – In less than three years, the Plainview Reagor-Dykes Ford, Lincoln and Toyota dealership has outgrown its original location. Reagor-Dykes announced plans to build a new facility to house the Toyota franchise location on a 10.5-acre site at 1220 S. I-27.

Construction on the new location is expected to begin in third quarter 2013 and the dealership is expected to be fully operational by the middle of 2014.

Anticipating an initial 50 new hires, the pair hopes to eventually grow to about 100 employees at the Toyota dealership. Positions in sales management, sales, office and clerical, mechanical technicians and auto detail will be available.

When Reagor-Dykes took over the dealership in 2010 there were 28 employees. With 75 current employees, there could be as many as 150 employees by the opening of the second location.

The expansion will allow the dealer to carry additional inventory. Currently, the dealership carries around 50 Toyotas in stock, which will double, maybe even triple, between 100 and 150 Toyota vehicles at the opening.

Both locations will include a preowned sales component as well as service, detail and parts departments.
