McKINNEY – An Eastern European-inspired development in McKinney has received $24.9 million for the construction and permanent financing of the 211-unit apartment community called St. Paul Square.

The 45-acre town center, Adriatica Village, will have details inspired by a fishing village in Croatia, including hand-carved fountains, cobblestone and a bell tower.

Other parts of the mixed-use project include single-family homes, condominiums, retail, restaurants, medical office and a weekly farmer’s market.

Developers plan to break ground on the apartment community within a week. The project is expected to be completed by late summer 2014.
