SAN ANTONIO – Dallas-based Legacy Capital Co. has purchased 175 acres of land at De Zavala and Babcock roads, near the University of Texas at San Antonio. Plans for the Northwest San Antonio mixed-use development include commercial development, multifamily and single-family homes.

Planning for the commercial component — known as The Overlook — is slated to get underway later this year. The Overlook will be located along the De Zavala stretch of Legacy Capital’s project.

Legacy Capital, in conjunction with Stratford Land Co., purchased the 175 acres for the project from the Steubing family.

Legacy Capital plans to make significant infrastructure improvements on the De Zavala/Babcock project — including the completion of J.V. Bacon Pkwy., which will connect De Zavala and Hausman Rd. and the extension of Leon Creek Trail System.
