SAN ANTONIO – OCI Solar Power has broken ground on its 41 megawatt Alamo I Solar Farm. The first phase of the project is being built at 2361 S. Blue Wing Rd. in South San Antonio.
The first phase of the project is expected to be complete by mid-2013 with the remaining portions to be built out through 2016. At completion, the project is expected to employ 800 people and represent a $100 million investment.
OCI has a 25-year purchase agreement with CPS Energy to provide a total of 400 megawatts of energy.
