BELTON - CGI Inc. has completed its Onshore IT Delivery Center on I-35. CGI will occupy the $7 million, 40,000-sf facility in the Belton Business Park. CGI is committed to hiring 350 professionals at the center by 2016, which will make them the community’s largest private-sector employer. The facility it is expected to generate $61 million in economic impact annually in Belton within five years. During the construction phase, CGI operated out of a temporary facility and already has hired 130 employees, more than 50 percent of whom are veterans or military family members, said Caitlin Kizielewicz, a spokeswoman for the company. They will work on IT projects for a variety of government and commercial clients, and conduct testing. Employees will make an average salary of $42,000 a year, the company reports.
