SAN ANTONIO – USAA will hire as many as 1,000 new workers by the end of 2015, augmenting a local workforce that already tops more than 16,400 people.

Since USAA’s headquarters are at nearly 90 percent capacity, the company plans on leasing additional office space in the San Antonio area.

USAA plans to hire as many as 3,500 people nationwide — including 1,000 in San Antonio over the next three years.

USAA will hire member contact representatives in investments, insurance, banking and claims; underwriters; information security specialists; business and financial analysts; and modeling and statistical analysts.
