WICHITA FALLS – United Regional Health Care System has been named a Top 100 hospital in the country by Truven Health Analytics, a research company focused on health care improvement.

The largest hospital in Wichita Falls was also recognized as one of 16 Everest Award winners for current and long-term improvement.

Hospitals were evaluated in ten areas: mortality; medical complications; patient safety; average patient stay; expenses; profitability; patient satisfaction; adherence to clinical standards of care; and post-discharge mortality and readmission rates for heart attacks, heart failure and pneumonia, according to Truven.
