GALVESTON – An 88-room, three-story TownePlace Suites by Marriott hotel has opened at 9540 Seawall Blvd. The 67,125-sf hotel is the first of two Marriott-branded hotels that will be located at the site.
An 85-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel, 9550 Seawall Blvd., is scheduled to open in two weeks.
Combined square footage of both properties is 131,800 sf, according to state filings.
The adjacent hotels will share outdoor amenities, which include a resort-style swimming pool, restrooms and a bar. The construction team worked to open the first hotel in time for spring break.
