LAMPASAS – Plans to break ground on a 58-unit senior housing project, The Manor at Hancock Park, are in the works after an agreement was reached between the City of Lampasas and Prestwick Development Company of Atlanta.

Prestwick plans to break ground prior to April 1 and is expecting a ten-month construction period, according to Breck Kean with Prestwick.

The Manor at Hancock Park, located at the southwest corner US 183 and US 190, is an age-restricted independent senior-living facility that will provide one- and two-bedroom apartments to seniors age 55 and older.

The city agreed to contribute $58,000 to the project, which also will receive tax credits from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Kean said.
