Amarillo new apartments: The Park, Salt Fork

AMARILLO – Tulsa apartment developer Case & Associates has opened its $21 million The Park at Coulter.

The Tuscan-style complex on South Coulter St., south of Southwest 45th Ave., features 131 one-bedroom units and 131 two-bedroom units ranging from 789 to 1,176 sf. Rents run from $799 to $1,099 per month.

Meanwhile, Lubbock developer Tigris has begun foundation work to build a 216-unit, single-story complex on Southeast 58th Avenue near Georgia St., said Mitch Elliott of Tigris. The City of Amarillo issued building permits for 34 separate structures in the complex with a combined construction value of nearly $5.2 million.

Salt Fork Apartments at 9150 S. Coulter, south of Loop 335/Hollywood Rd. will open in May, said Mitch Elliott of Tigris. The 210-unit property will include more than 30 buildings with a construction value of about $20 million, according to city permit data.

Monthly asking rents in Amarillo in February averaged $653, an increase of 1.6 percent from February 2012, according to ALN Apartment Data.
