Houston Walmart under construction at I-45, Wayside

HOUSTON – Idylwood Walmart Supercenter, near the intersection of I-45 and Wayside Dr., has now started. The 28-acre site was previously home to six vacant warehouse buildings that once served as a distribution center and corporate offices for Oshman’s.

The 185,000-sf store has construction costs of $8.5 million, and construction is estimated to be complete by 2014, according to state filings.
