WACO – The city is in the midst of a construction boom involving $500 million in projects either recently completed or now underway and officials say it is one of the biggest explosions of activity in the city’s history.

The Owens Corning glass plant is undergoing a $74 million expansion and a new Scott & White Healthcare’s $19.5 million cancer center is under construction on the Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center campus.

Also, the Waco Army & Air Force Exchange Service facility has undergone a $68 million upgrade and work continues apace on Baylor University’s $260 million dollar on-campus football stadium.
