Wichita Falls housing market displays growth
WICHITA FALLS – Existing home sales made a nice gain in February from the previous month, according to the monthly report from the Wichita Falls Association of Realtors, and also outpaced February 2012 numbers.
There were 101 sold during the month, an increase of 22 over 79 in January. Sales were up 11 from 90 in 2012. The total for the year is 180, compared with 195 in 2012.
The February sales volume was $11.92 million, a jump of $2.25 million from $9.67 million in January. It also was an increase of $1.22 million over $10.7 million in February 2012. The sales volume for the year stands at $21.59 million, a hike of $615,346 from $20.97 million last year.
The average sales price was $118,019, down from $122,019 in January. The average number of days on the market was 98.
A sampling of price classes: 14 in the $120,000-$140,000 range; five in the $140,000-$160,000 range; eight in the $160,000-$180,000 range; six in the $180,000-$200,000 range; five in $200,000-$250,000 range; three in the $250,000-$300,000 range; and three in the $300,000-$400,000 range.
