Rockport leaves light on for new hotel

ROCKPORT – Construction of the 72-room La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel, which is located at 2921 SH 35 N., has begun. The 43,000-sf project is slated for opening in fall 2013, according to Jatin Bhakta of the development company, Intuition Investments. Cost of construction is estimated at $2 million.

Amenities and guest services typical of La Quinta Inn & Suites will be included at the local facility. That includes three room types: spacious standard double, king and kitchen suites.
