Katy’s Falls at Green Meadows courses to builders

KATY – Falls at Green Meadows — the residential development under construction in the former location of Green Meadows Golf Course — is scheduled to open its first section to home builders by late April 2013, according to Friendswood Development Company.

Located within the City of Katy at Avenue D and Franz Rd., Falls at Green Meadows can accommodate more than 460 home sites ranging from 60-70 feet wide. The community will eventually cover about 242 acres, some of which include the golf course.

Crews have been working for months to repurpose the old Green Meadows Golf Course.

Lakes, green space and a recreation complex are also planned for the area.

Home prices are anticipated to range from the upper $200,000s to the upper $300,000s, and residents are zoned for Katy Elementary, Katy Junior High and Katy High School.
