WICHITA FALLS - ULM Oil Field Services is setting up shop in the former Penske building off US 287 just east of downtown The company plans to hire 162 employees in the first year of operation, 110 in the second year, and 100 more in the third year.

It could mean more than 370 new jobs for the Wichita Falls area.

The company has hired more than 50 truck drivers, along with an operations manager, according to Jamesina Toogood, general manager of Texas facilities for ULM.

The truck driving jobs require two years’ experience and a commercial driver’s license.

In its project summary, ULM said the pay scale for truck drivers ranges from $65,000 to $85,000. Some other positions include: mechanic, $75,000-$80,000; yardhand, $40,000-$45,000; driver supervisors, $75,000-$80,000; and sales, $85,000-$90,000.
