HIGHLAND VILLAGE - DDR Corp. has purchased the 400,000-sf Marketplace at Highland Village, a retail center at Village Pkwy. and Justin Rd., for $40 million. The retail property isĀ in Denton County in the town of Highland Village northwest of Dallas.

The 86-acre regional shopping center is anchored by a Walmart SuperCenter, LA Fitness, TJ Maxx/Home Goods, Office Depot and Petco.

The project was built in 2006 by Opus Group. Marketplace at Highland Village is 90 percent leased.

With the latest purchase, DDR owns and manages six North Texas retail centers with 1.8 million sf in Frisco, McKinney and Irving.
