Faudree Ranch ropes 300 units for Odessa

ODESSA – Dirt is turning for the 300-unit Faudree Ranch Apartments at 2741 Faudree Rd.

The total cost for the project is between $25 and $30 million, according to co-owner Dave Meaden. Blazer Building Inc. of Houston is the general contractor for the project, which will be completed by December.

Prices for a one-bedroom will start at about $1,400, Lisa Towne, senior regional manager at First Choice Management Group, said.

The luxury apartments will feature nine-foot ceilings, crown molding, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and built-in desks among other features. The complex will also have offer a state-of-the-art fitness center, detached garages.

In more housing news, Andalucia Villas Apartments, 5075 E. 52nd St., began construction in 2012 and are still on schedule with 402 units.

There have been 1,714 total apartment units built in Odessa between 2006 and 2012, according to the Odessa Chamber of Commerce website. More than 1,600 of those were built after 2010.
