SAN ANTONIO – Stream Data Centers has acquired 9.6 acres in Westover Hills Business Park at NE of Westover Hills Blvd. and SH 151. The Stream Private Data Center is a single-story, 87,752-sf building designed to withstand 146 mph winds and uplift.

San Antonio enjoys a central U.S. location, a new and reliable power and fiber infrastructure and virtually no risk of natural disasters.

Stream chose a site near Microsoft’s recently completed 470,000-sf data center in Westover Hills Business Park with access to two 300-megawatt substations.

The data center will contain three Private Data Center Suites, each including 10,000 sf of raised-floor data center space. The data center will initially deliver 2.25 MW of critical load power with the ability to expand the critical load to 6.75 MW with all necessary conduit and pads in place.

Stream Data Centers will break ground on its San Antonio Private Data Center in May 2013 and the facility will be fully-commissioned and ready for occupancy in February 2014.
