BASTROP, CORPUS CHRISTI - Mount Auburn Capital Group LLC added the 200-unit Walnut Ridge Apartment Complex in a two-property portfolio buy. The Los Angeles investor acquired the Class A apartments from Houston-based Apartment Advisors Inc. in its first Texas buy.

Walnut Ridge Apartments, 1900 Walnut St., is currently 97 percent occupied. The complex offers one-, two- and three-bedroom units, ranging from 723 sf to 1,229 sf. Rents range between $775 and $1,195 per month.

The second property included the Corpus Christi Gulf Breeze Apartments at 6533 Patti Dr. Corpus Christi appeal was its tight apartment market, with competing properties topping out at 95 percent occupancy.

The 200-unit Gulf Breeze has one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging between 899 sf and 1,229 sf. Monthly rents are between $925 and $1,260.
