Flower Mound’s $1B project set to bloom
FLOWER MOUND – On April 24, construction starts on the first phase of the $1 billion Lakeside mixed-use development. The project is at FM 2499 and Lakeside Pkwy., near Grapevine Lake.
The first phase will include six buildings including 45,000 sf of commercial space and 170 loft apartments, according to Realty Capital Management.
Construction will also start on 170 home lots in the project. Darling Homes, American Legend Homes and Normandy Homes will build houses in the neighborhood priced between $300,000 and $700,000. Apartment developer Greystar is also working on rental units in the development.
Lakeside is a 150-acre urban-style development planned to ultimately contain 2,200 residences and 705,000 sf of commercial space. The first phase will include seven public parks and plaza areas.
