SAN ANTONIO - Aerospace company Pratt & Whitney has confirmed that it plans to move jobs out of San Antonio. In an effort to reduce costs, maximize shop load and increase efficiencies, the company is consolidating its San Antonio operations.

Engine overhaul work will be shifted to the Columbus Engine Center in Georgia, while F100 repair work will be relocated to Arkansas.

The company has approximately 125 employees in San Antonio.

The consolidation will occur in phases and should be completed in the first half of 2014. Once the consolidation is completed, Pratt & Whitney will no longer have operations in San Antonio.
