Business or pleasure? San Angelo new Courtyard hotel open

SAN ANGELO – The 103-room Courtyard by Marriott is now open at 2572 Southwest Blvd. The hotel features an innovative lobby space as well as Courtyard’s latest contemporary room design.

The four-story hotel features an outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool spa, fitness center and guest laundry, and offers 4,000 sf of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 125 people and has nine suites.

The Courtyard will provide about 35 jobs including cleaning staff, lobby workers and food service employees.

Construction on the hotel started in January 2014, and was a $13 million project. The hotel operates as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Insignia Hospitality Group of Midland, Texas.
