$60M renovation underway at Woodlands Resort

THE WOODLANDS – The Woodlands Development Company and the Howard Hughes Corporation have started work on a $60 million expansion and renovation of the 39-year-old Woodlands Resort and Conference Center.

The conference center’s current 222 rooms will be overhauled, while an additional 184 guest rooms and suites will be constructed along the Panther Trails golf course. The room renovations will results in 406 new guest rooms at the facility.

The 18-month project includes the renovation of the property’s 60,000-sf conference center as well as construction of a 1,000-foot lazy river, a new steakhouse and spa.
