Campus Pointe construction points to College Station

COLLEGE STATION – Midway Cos. is set to begin construction on Texas A&M’s Campus Pointe project in summer 2013. The development will begin at the intersection of University Dr. and College Ave., and stretch to the old Plaza Hotel redevelopment line.

The Campus Pointe project is expected to include

• 225 to 250 room full service hotel;
• 200,000 sf of retail space;
• 300 high-end apartments;
• 36 game day condos; and
• 150,000 sf of office space.

Midway leased the 60-acre site from Texas A&M in October 2012. A&M System officials say the development will go up in three phases over the next several years. The contract with Midway says the final phase will go up no later than November 2022.
