NEDERLAND - Retail development of frontage property at Jack Brooks Regional Airport is one step closer to fruition. Jefferson County Commissioners approved a letter of intent to enter a ground lease from Accelerated Development for the development of 68 acres of land.
The conceptual plan calls for approximately 450,000 sf of retail development and six to eight restaurants, according to Pat Sauer, principal and director of development of the company.
Accelerated Developments has identified a list of candidates andĀ has begunĀ discussions with retailers. If all goes as planned construction could start by the end of 2014.
