​​AUSTIN - Whitestone REIT has put more money on the line in the Austin market with the acquisition of Quinlan Crossing retail center.

The Houston-based real estate investment trust plunked down $37.5 million for the 109,892-sf shopping center near Steiner Ranch in the far northwest Austin submarket.

Earlier this summer, Whitestone purchased Parkside Village North and Parkside Village South, retail centers at Circle C Ranch in the far southwest Austin submarket for $45 million.

The company also purchased Davenport Village, a large retail center near the Pennybacker Bridge on Capital of Texas Hwy. The three acquisitions account for 356,000 sf.

Quinlan Crossing at 5145 N. FM 620 was 95 percent leased at the time of sale.
