AUSTIN - The Austin industrial market is off to a measured start in 2013, according to a survey of more than 37 million sf of industrial lease space conducted by NAI REOC Austin.

The local industrial market experienced 141,372 sf of negative absorption in first quarter 2013 which increased the citywide vacancy rate slightly to 13.2 percent compared to 12.9 percent last quarter.

Vacancy is down significantly compared to 17.4 percent recorded in the same quarter last year.
