HOUSTON, DALLAS-FORT WORTH – Spirit Airlines recently launched service on nine new nonstop routes throughout the U.S., including one out of Houston and three out of DFW International Airport.

The airline began service between George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in January 2013. Spirit also recently launched the following nonstop routes:

  • DFW — Cancun, Mexico (CUN);
  • DFW — Los Angeles, Calif. (LAX); and
  • DFW — Oakland/San Francisco, Calif. (OAK).

Spirit, which launched its first Houston service in September 2012, also offers daily nonstop service from Houston to Dallas; Chicago, Ill.; Las Vegas, Nev.; and Orlando, Fla. On June 13, 2013, Spirit will launch nonstop service from Houston to Denver, Colo. and Detroit, Mich.
