FORT WORTH – The Clearfork Main Street Bridge has opened, connecting Stonegate Blvd. to Clearfork Main St., linking Hulen St. to Bryant Irvin Rd. and the Chisholm Trail Pkwy, which opens in spring 2014.

A pedestrian bridge suspended below the primary structure is still under construction and is expected to open on June 3. Construction costs for the entire bridge are estimated at $11 million to $13 million.

The new bridge is set to spur development at Edwards Ranch, including Cassco Development and Rosewood Property’s Clearfork project. The 270-acre site is on the banks of the Clear Fork of the Trinity River between Hulen St. and Bryant Irvin Rd.

Plans for Clearfork include more than 2 million sf of office space, 1 million sf of retail space and 2,500 multifamily units.

StreetLights Residential will oversee the apartment development with Woodbine Development Corp. overseeing the retail portion. Trinity Works will aid in developing the master plan.

The initial phase of residential development includes 398 units of townhomes, urban efficiencies, lofts and upscale apartments. Construction will begin in September 2013, with units scheduled for delivery between late 2014 and fall 2015.
