TEXAS CITY - Buc-ee’s Travel Store No. 33 at I-45 South and Holland Rd. will no doubt be massive.

The Texas City store will include enough parking for 701 cars or trucks, 52 gas pumps, 30 cash registers and 41 bathroom stalls, but it still won’t be the biggest.

The Texas City store is scheduled to open summer 2014 and will come in at 60,627 sf. Final plans show that the company’s 68,000-sf store in New Braunfels will hold the world’s largest title.

The Texas City store is 4,627 sf larger than the store Buc-ee’s opened in Bastrop earlier this year, and it’s a bit larger than the 60,000-sf store being built in Waller that is scheduled to open in November 2013.

Crews have been working on the site’s ground work, and Buc-ee’s Texas City is still about 12 months from opening.

  • Size: 60,627 sf
  • Occupancy: 1,387 guests
  • Employees: 250
  • Fuel canopy: 31,812 sf
  • Parking: 539,621 sf.
