DALLAS – Two home furnishings stores and existing NorthPark Center tenants are moving into the two-level, 88,000-sf space vacated in March 2013 by Barneys New York.

Arhaus Furniture, an Ohio-based chain, is taking up 24,000 sf. Fixtures Living, based in California, will occupy 32,000 sf on the upper level. Both stores will open next summer.

Barneys’ departure also opened up space for existing retailers to expand. CH Carolina Herrera and Kate Spade New York are moving in fall 2013, and Stuart Weitzman moved in near the Barneys space in April 2013.

In other news, Saks Fifth Avenue has started its closing sale at Galleria Dallas. Its last day is June 15. It was an original tenant of the mall that opened in 1982.

Dallas’ NorthPark, one of the few malls in the U.S. with annual sales of more than $1 billion.
