Hillwood land for new Collin County community

LUCAS, COLLIN COUNTY – Hillwood Communities has purchased 136 acres just east of Allen for construction of a new residential community.

The land near Lavon Lake will be used for a 206-lot, luxury home community called Brockdale. The property adjacent to the town of Lucas will be developed for half-acre home lots.

The first phase of the project will have builders Standard Pacific Homes and M. Christopher Homes who will build houses priced from $475,000 to more than $600,000.

Hillwood’s Brockdale project is just north of the 600-acre tract that Huffines Communities bought on Lake Lavon, as reported April 2013. Huffines will build a 1,400-home community called Parker Lakeside on its land.
